The Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse (CADA) is hiring a Youth Diversion Case Manager to work in our Youth Diversion Program in Santa Maria
 
The Youth Diversion Case Manager plays a vital role in supporting youth and families by guiding them through the diversion process, helping youth avoid the juvenile justice system through positive engagement and intervention. In this position, you’ll provide case management services, coordinate with various community organizations, facilitate educational and support groups, and assist families in accessing necessary resources. You will work closely with youth and their families to develop individualized plans that promote growth, accountability, and successful reintegration into their communities. 
 
 Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in progress or 1 year of experience in a related helping profession 
  • Strong communication skills with parents, youth, and community leaders 
  • Experience in case management or social work 
  • Knowledge of youth alcohol and drug-related issues 
  • Proficient in data management and documentation 
  • Team-oriented with a passion for supporting youth in the community 
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills 
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred 
Responsibilities: 
  • Onboard new clients and their families through orientation, explaining services and setting expectations. 
  • Regularly check-in with clients and their families, monitor progress, and help eliminate barriers to success. 
  • Collaborate with clients and families to create and update individualized Restorative Action Plans. 
  • Lead psycho-educational groups and support classes for youth and families, ensuring adherence to program curricula. 
  • Coordinate with schools, law enforcement, probation officers, and other referral sources to ensure a seamless support network for clients. 
  • Represent the agency at community events, school, and probation meetings to advocate for the program and share successes. 
  • Maintain accurate, confidential client records and complete all necessary documentation for program tracking and reporting. 
  • Attend Teen Court sessions, assist with case preparation, and help guide clients and families through the court process. 
This position is Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:30am-6:30pm, for a total of 40 hours per week. Compensation is dependent of the level of prior experience and qualifications, with a salary range of $22-$25, and a rate increase potential for bilingual (Spanish/English).
